Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WeekMio (the "App") handles your information. Our core principles are on-device processing and minimal collection.

1. Our core commitments

• Selecting clips, analyzing highlights, face recognition, and generating growth films all happen locally on your device.
• Your original photos and videos are never uploaded to our servers by default.
• Only when you actively share a finished film, or order / claim a physical photo book, do we upload the specific film or photos you selected.
• Detecting faces in video (smiles, frontal faces, sharpness) and recognizing "which face is which baby" use Apple's on-device Vision framework; the baby avatars and facial features used for recognition stay on your device and are never uploaded.

2. Information we collect (only to provide features)

• Account info: when you choose to register / sign in — your email address, or the anonymized user identifier returned by Sign in with Apple.
• Material statistics: count-only metadata such as number of items, number of dates covered, and whether a film has been generated (no photos, no album identifiers, no thumbnails), used to show your real home-screen status and determine free photo-book eligibility.
• Device identifier: a hash of the device identifier (identifierForVendor), used as a weak signal to prevent duplicate free photo-book claims.
• Membership status: when you subscribe — the subscription product identifier and expiry date, used to sync membership benefits to your account across devices.
• Shipping info: when you claim / order a physical photo book — recipient name, phone number, and shipping address, used for fulfillment and to prevent duplicate claims.
• Content you actively upload: a film you choose to share; or the photos you select when ordering a photo book.

3. What we do NOT collect

• No precise location, health, financial, contacts, or browsing-history sensitive data.
• No third-party advertising or cross-app / cross-site tracking SDKs — we do not track you.
• Other than the "active share / order" cases above, we do not upload your original photos and videos, and we never upload any face image or avatar.

4. Use and sharing of information

Collected information is used only to provide and improve the App's features, determine free photo-book eligibility, sync membership benefits, and produce and ship physical photo books. We do not sell your personal information. To fulfill physical photo books we may share necessary shipping details with printing and logistics providers. Subscriptions and payments are handled by the Apple App Store; we never see your payment-card information.

5. Storage and security

Our backend runs on Cloudflare. Shared films and similar media are stored in object storage and accessed through time-limited signed links. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data. Share links expire after 90 days by default, and you can revoke a share at any time.

6. Children's information

The App is intended for use by parents to record their children's growth. Content involving children is controlled by the parent and stored on-device; parents may stop using the App and delete on-device data at any time.

7. Your rights

• In the App's "Privacy & Material Permissions" you can clear the on-device analysis cache, or delete on-device data such as baby avatars.
• You can revoke links you have shared.
• You can request access to or deletion of data associated with your account via the email below.
